Ivan

Manager

Ivan Salavera began his training in his native Spain at Pacha La Pineda in Barcelona.  He then moved to London where he worked in Clapham and then became bar manager at Tuttons, Covent Garden.  In November 2004, Ivan moved across to Australia to open and manage the restaurant Blue Moon in New South Wales.  Over the next five years he managed bars and restaurants in Spain,Italy, England and Indonesia.  In 2009, Ivan joined the team at four o nine as manager where he helped the restaurant build it's profile to win an award as Best Hidden Gem Restaurant 2010.

Chris - Executive Chef

Australian born Chris first trained at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney, and then went on to work under the country's best Italian chef Stefano Manfredi at Bel Mondo.  After that, Chris came to the UK and worked with Richard Burkert at Pissarro's in Chiswick, London and at The Sir Charles Napier in Oxfordshire before working as Junior Sous Chef for High Road House, part of the Soho House group.  In 2009, Chris started at four o nine as Head Chef, he helped both front of house and the kitchen gain the reputation they have today, winning them Best Hidden Gem Restaurant 2010.    As a result four o nine was invited into Taste of London 2011 in June of this year amongst the other great restaurants in London - a great achievement. With our new restaurant, lily’s in Clapham Old Town (open since May of this year), proving to be a welcome newcomer to the area, Chris will oversee lily’s progress along with The Frog and four o nine.
